This is a little bit more work, but for the capabilities LightBurn offers, it would be well worth it in the long run to streamline productivity and workflow. Just be aware, it does ask for Inkscape to be installed!Īt the moment, these machines are not compatible with LightBurn unless you upgrade your controller and modify your machine. You might run into some issues if you are trying to use a Mac, however there are some workarounds that might help! You can run a virtual machine or even check out this awesome Github that allows you to run k40 Whisperer on a Mac. OMTech’s K40/40W Desktop laser engravers are equipped with LaserDRW software, although there is an option for K40 Whisperer. Keep in mind the website seems to go down from time to time, so if you cannot log on- wait an hour or so and refresh.
